I do not have calculators :(
You must have a TI 84 Plus Graphing Calculator! If you need a calculator to do basic operations (multiply/divide), then you should have a basic calculator AS WELL. It may be possible to sign out a graphing calc for the year - like you do a book. See Ms. Miller. Graphing Calcs can be found on sale often at Target for $90. If you sign out a calculator and do not return it, you will be charged full price.
1. TI 84 Graphing Calculator - this is essential now in high school mathematics. It is used also on the SAT and it is imperative that students become adept at using its functions and features to explore mathematics and to solve problems. The newest model enables students to graph in different colors!!! This helps students better differentiate patterns and helps them connect functions to their graphs.
2. 3 ring binder - you will get LOTS OF HANDOUTS! Be sure you have a binder that is a minimum of 1.5 inches - you will fill it each quarter!
3. Pencils and erasers! All work must be done in pencil!
4. Different colored highlighters and colored pencils! At least 4 colors of each!
5. Looseleaf paper or a one subject notebook from which you may get paper
6. Basic calculator as there will be times when you are not allowed to use a graphing calc! If you do not have a basic calculator then you will be limited to using the calculator in your head!
7. If you would like to donate to our dry erase marker or KLEENEX collection, we would love it! Please get low odor markers :)
